I was grateful to be invited along to the inaugural Capitol Groove this year in Hartford. Put on by the kind folks at GoodWorks, the lineup was expectedly exciting and they pulled out all the stops for a great show – a massive stage was set up just outside Connecticut’s capitol building and I was given some of the largest screens I’ve ever seen for IMAG (provided by the good people at JX2, naturally).

I was directing/producing video along with doing the bulk of engineering and department head duties – a small crew means wearing a lot of hats. I was very fortunate to have Kevin on to shade with me all weekend and Willy, Tracey, and my old friend Bobby running cameras.

Despite bad weather cutting out a couple acts on the second day, the weekend went off without much stress. This festival only runs one stage and as a result set changeovers were very short, so we were all pretty cooked at the end of the weekend without a spare set of hands to give breaks. So it goes, I guess – we survived regardless, and put together a product I was personally very proud of.
