Recently I had the pleasure of supporting AMERIPEN with photography and communications/social media coverage at their Annual Summit in Washington, DC. They’re one of the clients I work with at my full-time job and have one in-person meeting a year where they visit with legislators on Capitol Hill and then gather as an association for presentations and workshops.
The photos I captured and words I wrote belong to the association, but I did bring my bike down on the train and explored the city a bit on my own time before the conference began. Some locals I ran into recommended I eat dinner at Red Bear Brewing, which was excellent and was hosting a drag night for a gay rugby team. I definitely made the most of my limited discretionary time.
